World politics

I lied, this isn't about world politics it's a much shallower topic.

Sometimes the entirety of the world lets you down, without fail. It hurts and it sucks and there really is no worse feeling then being left to your own devices when the world is looking at you like "what's wrong?"
I find that the best way to deal with all of this disappointment is fiction. When all of your "friends" let you down I find turning to your fictional ones is the best option. They will never waiver.  They're plan, whether or not you agree with it, will not change. You can always count on them and their choices. They'll never stand you up, they won't move on without you, they're going to treat you the same, and that's a fact.

Ted Mosby is always going to inspire me to believe there are still good guys out there, Larry Underwood is always going to illustrate the beauty of personal change, and  Newt Hoenikker will show me the sheer pointlessness of it all.
